I noticed that over half of my movies were missing from plex on a certain drive. The drive has not failed, plex recognizes all of the movies when I run metadata scan from what i can see in the log they are just not showing up in my library anymore…
Anyone else run into this and have a fix or suggestions?

To further add to the confusion, we can search for movies known to be on this drive and play them from plex itself. They are just not appearing in the library anymore. To my knowledge there have not been any changes to the way it’s setup.
At the top left of the library make sure you don’t have a rogue filter selection chosen you didn’t realize
Also make sure you aren’t looking for items that may be hidden because they’re in a collection

Thank you. Is this a new setting? We haven’t messed with collections in a while and it would make sense that I thought it affected only one drive because it was an older one when we set up our server… Regardless the “Show collections and their items” setting fixed the issue.
