My movies do not play with plex server update. With kodi no problems, so it is plex.
Where can i get old versions of plex server for qnap? can not find it
It seems that Qnap distroys the functionallity of plex. I did rollback to 1.16 (default version on qnap). Qnap pointed support to plex. I payed lifetime for plex. It sucks that it does not work right way.
I could better stay with kodi, free and working. About the technical support of plex it is low level. I am not satisfied with it.
Mind sharing what error you get?
On what QNAP model and QTS version do you have your PMS running?
I do have plexserver 1.20.3 . I have Qnap ts-230. Qts 4.5.1.
I use now plex within kodi and than it is working perfect. Streaming from nvidia shield. All movies are running in that configuration.
Oh by the way I get no errors. The movies just do not run/load with the shield app and the webapp.
What information is showing in the “now playing” tile for that playback on the Plex server dashboard while you’re attempting to start that playback on a Shield or via Plex Web?
I’m having the same issue :(.
And I’m getting a lot of 0.m4s and initial.mp4 not found in the console when trying to play.
Okay, nevermind…
Seems I had issues with the firewall on my server :’(.
Have you disabled transcoding on your server?
I don’t think playback using a browser supports DTS HD or 10bit HEVC HDR streams but according to the dashboard it’s not transcoding.
Do you get the same result when playing through the native Plex desktop client?
I am using direct play. Origineel from source. But I tested more movies without dts , also not playing.
I test now the windows desktop app.
Result movie is playing in desktop app, but sometimes in slowmotion.
Testing on the shield app (android tv):
When starting the movie the whole plex server stops. I can not acces dashboard when start playing the movie.
After sometime I can acces server dashboard but no shield in dashboard.
So it looks for now the problem is in shield app.
