Server Missing

Lost my server also, did the update then lost sever connection. Had to delete the entire sever and reload an older firmware on my QNAP. Seriously think it was the last firmware update.

I will definitely not run anything but 1 version back from now on. This is bad.

It was, and has been redrawn from QNAP!

Great except when i go to the PLEX download page 2019 is still listed as a QNAP NON BETA update!

You missed the point here…

QTS had errors, not PMS!

He is talking about the QNAP firmware itself. Plex Media Server isn’t firmware, it is an app.

ya I am using firmware loosely sorry, however I did not update to the new QTS first, my Plex broke after updating to 2019 Plex version. The fix was actually updating to the new QTS firmware and then going back 1 version on Plex.

Also if you go to this thread I believe it calls out issues with 2019

That’s a Shield only problem, and not related to the QNAP platform!

Then you have some other issue…

Please reduplicate, provide logs, and post in a new thread, since you are stealing away this thread from another user, with another issue!

I appreciate your help, As i read the thread there are several who also have this issue with QNAP.

Hi STSimm1

are you talking about the client Version or the Server Version?

I use a QNAP NAS, and whenever there is a Plex Server update, I need to download it to my PC and then upload it onto the NAS to install it manually. So, I do not get it from google play store or anywhere else, but download it from https://www.plex.tv/de/media-server-downloads/?langr=1#plex-media-server . Usually because my Plex Windows client tells me that there is a newer server version available.

So did I today, installing the actual package PlexMediaServer-1.18.1.2019-c186313fe-x86_64.qpkg. Since then Plex server does not start on my NAS any more. So, I found this thread and hope for a solution. Is there any?

BR, Wolfgang

As said, please start a new thread!

And provide logs!

All posts you linked towards, are also without logs, and we simply can’t work blindfolded, and with a crystal ball!

I moved everything to this new topic. I’m pretty sure the person who started the other topic was running a Mac anyway.

I am not a QNAP expert but if i need to change the title to be more descriptive please let me know
