I recently moved a bunch of movies to a different drive and now they show as being deleted (files missing) but if I use “Get Info” the file details is still there and the movie does still play.
Any ideas how to fix this
Perform a “Scan library files”.
Make sure all hard drives are “awake” before starting the scan.
(Only if you let your hard drives spin down their platters when idle)
I have performed multiple scans and all drives are awake. The one in question does have other movies on it and they are all fine, it only seems to affect the movies I moved to the drive last week.
Check the health of your database.
Make sure that there is always plenty of free space on the drive which hosts the Plex data folder.

Corruption test returned Ok.
Rebuild the DB as recommended but files still have the Deleted icon on them.
Drive still has 400GB of space.
Do the trashcans also remain after you enter the preplay page of an affected item?
Yes it does.
Have you ever emptied the library trash?
I did try it after recreating the DB but then it deleted the movies. This is not the desired result as it deletes movies that I have watched, so I loose history. Not sure if it will reimport them after the fact and not willing to take the risk as my family will not be impressed if this would happen.
Due to this I restored the database before the delete.
Your first screenshot in this thread: does this movie still exist on drive U:, in the folder Movies3?
Is it exactly this folder, which has been added to your movie library? Or did you just add the “naked” root U:?

This is so wierd as I have done this many times before and usually you land up with the old folder and the new folder and have to remove the old file but this time something seems to have gone wrong.
Not sure how this happen but it seems the U drive was removed from my Library.
Re-added it and it is adding all the moves back, this is wierd too as usually when you delete a drive (Folder) from the library it automatically removes the movies.
I was lucky, sorry for wasting your time but thanks for all the effort.
By restoring the database file, you reverted also any changes to the library folders.
