SOLVED: Plex not removing deleted items

Server Version#: 1.15.3.876
Player Version#: n/a / all clients
OS: Windows 10
Logs:

What you did? It seems that Plex isn’t removing any deleted files anymore. Probably the database seems corrupt after some Googling, but I’m not quite sure.

What happened? This issue seemed to start when I moved over part of my library to a new disk. I’ve added this disk and shut Plex down prior to the move, but Plex created null / empty versions of several tv shows. Also when I delete a file or Sonarr replaces the file with another version, the old version will not be unreferenced. I’ve also scanned the library manually a couple of times and of course cleaned the trash multiple times. Doesn’t seem to make a difference.

What you expected? That the episodes are removed. I remember that this worked before?

What are your (relevant) settings? n/a

Seems like you moved your media to X:\. Did you remove the old path G:\TV\Dutch TV-seriesfrom the plex library?
If plex can’t access an entire drive/partition then it will assume it is “unmounted” and will not delete the entries in the library. This is by design to protect your libraries from being deleted due to disconnections from your media.

Thanks! I’ve removed this directory and this solved the issue immediately.
