I believe existing feature suggestions cover your requests.
Regarding movies, Plex currently lists each edition separately. There is an existing feature suggestion to use just one listing: Possibility to hide editions from grid.
Regarding TV shows, Plex does not support editions. There is an existing feature suggestion to add the capability: Add "edition" support to TV-Shows
