Moving from Windows to Unraid

I’m wondering if the guide is a bit old https://support.plex.tv/articles/201370363-move-an-install-to-another-system/ and still relevant.

I’m in the process of moving Plex from Windows to Unraid. Right now I’m slogging along moving close to 100TB while I did install Plex I haven’t pointed the seperate libraries to the new server location. However it pulled over a lot from the Windows machine as when I signed in it had the cover art for many of the libraries viewable in Unraid.

So my question is what if anything data history thumbnails I should be manually copying? Or is most already synching and not needed to copy?

I have a windows computer been using ten twenty years. I just built a new Unraid server. I moved all my media files over. Ready to now point to new directories and get going. But it only will show me old computer drives and not new. How do I teach it the new ways.

also is there any files I should move over or just start fresh…??

Where is Plex Media Server running, on the Windows PC or on the Unraid server?

Are you moving Plex Media Server to the Unraid server or just the media files?
