Moving Libraries - Keeping watched status

Did you not put media at the same path? I thought this was a 1-1 move from an older NAS to a newer NAS and not a complete restructure.

I do have one question.

When you added the new locations, did you KEEP the old location in the list UNTIL everything was found in the new location? When done correctly, it will find the new files, mark them as duplicates because one, currently inaccessible path, exists in the database.

Then, After ALL files have been found is when you remove the original location

While I wrote this for general Linux, the same process works on Synology because Synology uses Linux,.

Since you now have the Library.tar file on the NAS and the little script to restore it,
you can do this as much as needed until you get it perfect to your liking. There are a lot of steps but nothing overly complex.
