Moving server from Mac to PC

Hi all,
I have been happily using a Mac Mini as my Plex server for the last five years and decided it was time to move to something more powerful. I have bought a Dell server to act as my Plex server, but the twist is that I have an external NTFS-formatted Firewire drive that has all my media plugged into the Mac. In theory, I can just plug that drive into the Dell, but I’d really like to make sure all the metadata, etc. carry over.
