Only one file from a new album is being detected improperly for some reason. All other tracks have the same naming scheme, tags, and other metadata. I’ve already tried deleting the file, rescanning the library, optimizing database and cleaning bundles, then scanning again with no change. The file fails with an error (4294967283) on all desktop applications and skips quietly on Plexamp. VLC and iTunes are able to play the file as expected. Here’s what the file info looks like:
I wasn’t able to find anyone mentioning Plex completely misidentifying audio as video, so I’m not sure where to go from here as it’s definitely just an MP3. I also captured a log while scanning for the freshly reuploaded file:

The devs would likely need to get a copy of that file. H263 is a video codec which I’ve never heard of an MP3 being misidentified as. When I have seen things like this before is is just when a file extension gets changed without actually converting properly. (Not saying you did that)

Honestly if just that one file I would use some software to convert it again. I have not used itunes or apple music in forever so not sure if using an export function in them would do it but I am sure there is free conversion software out there
Thanks. Not sure why I didn’t think to do that, I just reencoded to MP3 with XLD and the file was detected properly right away. I have the original in case the devs do want to take a look at it.
If you want to message it to me (click on my username) then I can make a report for devs to look at whenever they get a chance but i don’t know when that might be.
