Plex works great for me and my needs. However, while this may be very old news, what’s most frustrating for me is that Plex really need to fix the Aspect Ratio for Samsung TVs!!
My MP4 TV and Movie files (converted from my DVD collection) show much smaller (i.e., in the wrong Aspect Ratio), and with thick, black bars all around the picture.
During the same movie or TV show episode playback using Plex on my LG TVs, I can adjust the Aspect Ratio. Specifically, while not ideal, I can stretch the picture to take up the full screen on the LG TVs. That capability is disabled on the Samsung TVs when using Plex.
Not sure what is taking so long for Plex to fix this problem. Checked the forum, and saw that this problem has been around for a while. It’s mind boggling and highly frustrating.
Any ideas or suggestions??
