MPEG2 hardware decode

My DVR recordings to not get hardware accelerated decoding when I use the Plex for Windows or Plex Media Player v3. I do get hardware acceleration in the Web player. Will this ever be fixed?

When using PMP or Plex for Windows are the shows direct playing or transcoding?

Both PMP & Plex for Windows direct play MPEG2 video.

Plex Web does not support direct play of MPEG2 video, so it will transcode.

When I play a MPEG2 video in PMP or Plex for Windows the Plex Dashboard shows direct play. If I force a transcode via changing resolution then the Dashboard shows h/w encode and decode.

When I play the same MPEG2 video via Plex Web it transcodes, as expected, and the Dashboard shows both h/w encode & decode.
