Below was provided by a Plex employee, this was kind of snuck in another thread. This has been a couple weeks, hopefully we’ll hear something soon.

"Since you brought this up it’s probably a good time to let you know that we are working on a project to address what we refer to internally as “The Buffalo Triangle Problem”. Where users reported that not only could they receive channels from their home DMA, but also found success receiving signals from Toronto, Rochester, and Erie.
Regardless of the name, the phenomenon is not unique to users in Buffalo, NY, users all over the globe live in Goldilocks zones that allow them to pick up signals from outside of their primary market. With TiVo we spent months and month (and months) requesting that they add these distant stations to hundreds of different lineups, to the point that it almost became someone’s full time job. This time around we need to take a different approach, which will come in the form of multi-lineup support.
During tuner setup you’ll enter in your home postal code as you naturally would. Plex will make it’s best effort to match the tuner channels to guide channels, as it does today, and you’re all set. However, if you have unmatched channels from distant markets that your tuner receives but your lineup does not account for you’ll be able to enter in a second (or third?!) postal code to retrieve additional lineups to match against. Not only will this allow you to resolve for this use case, but you’ll also be able to get more creative with your installations, like point two directional antennas in two different directions, connect them to two different tuners, and apply unique postal codes to each. Similarly users that might have both a CableCARD tuner and an OTA tuner will no longer be forced to choose between one lineup or the other.
All that to say, now that we’re on the verge of being freed from the previous provider we can finally get back to some of these types of enhancements that are long overdue. If you have questions let me know. (No, I don’t have an ETA that I can share.)"
Well I hope they get that support in soon. Just set up my dvr again and now only have program information for 24 out of the 36 channels I used to have. And all the channel numbers, logos and order have changed, so now having to find everything again. I never had any problems with the old guide, so this is a big downgrade for me.
@cire12 Two other things I hope to go along with this is an increase in maximum channels and in my area my cable provider is no longer offering live TV so as a grandfathered CableCARD hdhomerun customer I’m going to stick with it as long as I can but hopefully they’ll be some type of integration with IPTV/m3u source / hdhomerun connect as well?
Taking you up on your question offer, but not asking any ETA
Anyway - my wish would be each DVR getting its own “country/state” postal code.
In Europe we have many distribution methods and many countries - and some “aggregated” cable TV (distributed via either digital cable or antenna based networks) networks in large developments.
So the “easy” fix would be to move the Country/Postal code and EPG selection to each individual external tuner. So I’m in Spain - with my Spanish TV selection - but my satellite gets UK channels and layouts.
The easy fix for duplicates would be adding tuner name to channels. The better solution would be to list channel duplicates and prioritise. (Auto prioritise first based on users tuner selection priority, then channel quality - so HD before SD)
It would also be nice if Plex became smarter about normal duplicate channels - so if I want to watch BBC News - Plex would not differentiate between channel 23(sd) and channel 67(hd) - and just select the best quality viewable every time. It would also slim down EPGs. (made up example)
Bumping this. I want to know what the Plex devs are up to regarding this. I note the web app has a different DVR layout in the settings now. Are we getting close?
Hi @Cyberpower678 this has been released but it’s not completely stable, I ultimately had to roll back to the original live TV and DVR setup page server.
@Cyberpower678 If you have a tuner let’s say connect and a prime already hooked up, you would have to remove the connect and re-add it with the zip code and then you can select antenna. Let me know if that helps, if it doesn’t show me some screenshots and I can try to walk you through it.
@Cyberpower678 Hey some people have some weird setups. So with your situation you’re going to have to zero out the ZIP code(00000) and use a iptv Guide file (I can’t think of the name of it right now LOL). Or assign each tuner to its designated zip code and then map each Channel.
Sorry each tuner will have its own ZIP code. So you can have multiple tuner sources with different zip codes. So my cable has one ZIP code (prime) and my antenna has another zip code (connect) and my xteve has another.
