Multiple Guide Sources, The Buffalo Triangle Project

So you’re saying I need to split xTeVe into two devices or somehow get Plex to recognize the same device as two devices? Isn’t that different from what they were planning where a device that picks up multiple regions in the same device can be mapped out to multiple listings?

Correct you would have to split it into multiple tuners. I think their intention was to have it set up this way. It was originally based off of if a person had an antenna that picked up multiple channels in different cities you would be able to use different tuners to map those channels. Although I do understand what you’re saying that would be pretty cool!!

Huh, I wonder if I can hack around on that a bit and just clone the tuner via the DB. I’ve got a 5 stream limit, that I want to make sure Plex respects correctly.

Maybe I’m just not super familiar with Xteve. I’m riding out hdhomerun Prime until it dies .

They definitely “support” the option to add multiple lineups to the same tuner device, but it doesn’t actually work. Only the primary lineup can be mapped and the secondary lineups will fail to map anything. Probably still a work in progress. The UI is absolutely messy,

@JasonsPlex This is very much a broken implementation still. Not to mention, that it doesn’t create two separate channel lineups, but merges them into one, hiding channels that have the same channel number. Two different regions can/will have different channels under the same number. This is bad. After initial mapping, you will no longer have access to secondary lineup for mapping.
