Multiple versions. Same Mbps. Which is mp4 or mkv?

Hi,

I have multiple versions (because of Plex for LG) of movies placed in each movie folder (mkv and mp4). Many of the movies are the same Mbps, since the MP4 is a direct copy of the MKV video and audio. It is kinda a guessing game, to find the correct version.

Is there any way to add anything to the “Plex versions …” window? Optimized versions have the profile name attached. I’m using a slow NAS, so I convert them by ffmepg on my desktop machine.

Why are you keeping two versions? Delete the one you don’t want to use from your HDD would be my suggestion.

Because there seams to be a bug with MP4 and SRT files (i guess). If i keep the MKV file, I can select subtitles. If I rename the mkv to mkv.bak. The subtitle option is “None”. (PlexWeb, iOS App and Plex for LG)

Don’t know if it has anything to do with this bug.
