I have an album that the artist is “16 Singers…” Does the music listing for Artist only use letters? I can find the album listing by title, but not by Artist. Am I missing something? Thanks for the help.
Actually the Artists Name is “16 Singing Men” - one of their albums is listed “Dick Anthony’s 16 Singing Men” - I suppose I could rename it that way. But the larger question is “does Plex allow for numerals as leading artist name?” Maybe there aren’t any artists who list themselves by numeral first.
Yes, it does. But it may be interpreting the number as a ‘track number’ under some circumstances.
How are the files named?
How is the folder structure organized and named where the files of that album are located?
What is set in the embedded metadata of your files as ‘Album Artist’ ?
Files are named just like the rest of my music library. The track number listing is just like all the others.
The files are in a folder: 16 Singing Men
The Album Artist is listed as: 16 Singing Men
Checking all of the other metadata is like the other music that shows up properly.
Tags in Plex look good
I may have to just list it as alphabetic rather than numerical.
