This request is for better organization/display of albums on an Artist Page. I think we should attempt to replicate Deezer/Spotify like layout with the display of the albums.
Currently all albums are typically just sorted by Release Date or Name which means singles, EP’s, remixes, albums and etc are all mixed together in order by those settings. Which for some artists with a lot of Singles or Remixes, it can be difficult to know which albums are what type.
So Plex should be able to mimic Spotify or deezer and break those out to sort by date, but have them categorized in sections by Album Type (Album, EP, Single and etc.). Preferably, we should be able to add a ID3/VORBIS tag to our music to dictate the release type.
That way its not one giant jumbled mess of albums/singles/ep on the the artist page when browsing. It would also be great for Plex to display Albums where the artist is featured in, but not the main artist.
