Music Artist Sync not working: requires Plex Pass (I Have a Lifetime Plex Pass)

Server Version#:1.19.3.2764
Player Version#:8.0.1.17410(0cf80098)
Android 10 System update 292201800

I have a lifetime Plex Pass. My account is signed in to the server and the android mobile app, but when I try to Sync and artist, I get the error “Unable to Sync. Sync is a premium feature and requires the associated server to be signed in with a Plex Pass enabled account.” What gives?

Please recreate and then grab the log from the app. https://support.plex.tv/articles/201573117-android-android-tv-fire-tv-logs/

Interestingly, within the newly announced Plexamp app, downloads work fine. So I am definitely signed in to the server. Still not sure whether or not I want to use that particular app over the standalone Plex app, this bug should be fixed.

According to your log, you are currently viewing the locally synced version, so you can’t sync an already synced item. It appears there is a bug to show that sync button. I’ll let the devs know.

Intersesting, I had thought I did not have all of those albums downloaded yet. The pop-up should say something helpful to that issue then, instead of saying something that isn’t true! Thanks for your help.

Yup. I’ve informed the team. The icon is grayed out so it shouldn’t be working, but is. If you look at the name of the library you are looking at, it should say “… on this device” to indicate it’s the synced version.
