Get an Unable to sync message in the app when trying to sync some music files. Plenty of room on my phone for the files. Message reads:
Sync is a premium feature and requires the associated server to be signed in with a Plex Pass enabled account.
I’ve had a Lifetime subscription for years and only one server during that time. If I go to the account settings page in the app it even shows that it’s signed into my account with a lifetime Plex Pass.
+1. Having the same issue. Samsung Galaxy Kids Tablet. Saying it’s a premium feature… will actually transcode, but won’t download with the same error. Running Plex via unraid.
Same issue on Samsung S20 5G , I have a lifetime plex pass and it won’t sync with the error:
“Unable to sync
Sync is a premium feature and requires the associated server to be signed in with a Plex Pass enabled account”
Note: I always move Plex from internal storage to my SD Card on my phones, should that make a difference.
I had this same error happen today (android phone). I was able to resolve it by going into my app settings for plex, clear the storage and cache, and then sign into plex again.
Still have this issue with sync when I’ve deleted some items it breaks sync for a TV show and I have to restart it. Existing thread at Sync error "there is an error with this item" auto-closed due to lack of updates - has there been any progress? @anon18523487
