I have seen a few threads on this topic and none of them seem to have an answer that works for me.
I have periodically had issues when I add a newly ripped album that one song or a group of songs show up under an album of the identical name. I do use Tag & Rename and have re-written all tags the same, but Plex never sorts it out and I have to do so manually.
At the moment I’m having the same issue with Audio Books which catalog in plex as music files. I have an 18 disc book. The meta tags were all created in tag & rename, IE are identical, but this is the first book that wants to show up as 18 books with the same identical title instead of 18 files under the same book. I can’t even seem to manually move them together.
I tried pulling the book from the folder, scanning/removing/emptying trash from the db, re-writing the meta tags, the placing it back in and re-scan, but it shows up the same way.
Any thoughts?
