Am I am dumb and blind or can PLEX server not send music to network audio receivers on local network?
What is the use of this function then? I am sometimes perPLEXed by PLEX.
If the receiver is DLNA-capable, Plex has a DLNA option in Server Settings.

That is not the point. The receiver is DLNA capable, however I can not control it (select as a player) in PLEX app nor PLEX server That fancy interface and album art etc all goes out of the window …
I still have to us the little Marantz iPhone app with the basic UpNP interface. And for that I can run a myriad of smaller DLNA servers beside PLEX on my NAS.
Only way would be PLEX server to PLEX client to AirPlay to Receiver. I am sure you are not failing how ridiculous that is.
Coming to that — you guys are missing a business opportunity here. Beside ROON (terribly expensive) and Audirvana (clumsy interface) there are no decent DNLA audio player controllers. PLEX with the ability to control the DLNA capable Audio player would beat the competition …
