Music Playback Stopping

Getting closer to the 1 year anniversary of this issue!

I think I would be much happier if there was a post that said, ā€œso sorry for the inconvenience, we recognize this as an issue and expect a fix in x monthsā€ with an email notification about when it has been fixed.

As it stands, I have no idea if development team is even aware, and if they are, it seems that they don’t care. I really wish I could get a refund of my lifetime plex pass, which I purchased exclusively for syncing audio to my phone. Biggest waste of money I’ve ever spent.

I couldn’t agree more. Have been a paid Plex pass subscriber for about two years now. And for almost an entire year I haven’t been able to use the feature that got me to be a paid user.

This thread feels like it has been completely ignored. And no personal offense meant to moviefan, but I don’t get the impression that he/she even cares. Our reports are often met with confusion.

I chose to be a yearly Plex Pass subscriber as I felt they deserved a more consistent influx of money. But at this point I doubt I will renew and I have nothing good to say about this platform when asked about it.

The sad part about all of this, is there seems to be an ever growing frustration towards this platform. And I am starting to understand why. Plex needs to engage their community far better than they are now. Or when a viable alternative shows up, a lot of people are going to leave.

Add to the playback issues, album art missing on synced can content now I’m getting errors when syncing large number of files which seems to relate to when the screen is off! Again pointing to Plex not getting androids 7 battery optimisation right.

I utterly hate when something goes wrong with the service as getting any logical response from Plex that the bug has been picked up seems almost impossible! A public forum is not technical support…

This is a key feature of Plex pass so I’m at a lose to why resources are not being thrown at it to get it fixed!

Having the same issue as well for some time.

I have felt the issue was less frequent for some time but now back to every 2nd-to-4th song. I am on MIUI8, so now trying the Developer Setting suggested above to switch of the Memory Optimization.

Some good news guys. One of the devs has finally been able to reproduce this issue.

Progress at last… hopefully won’t belong before a patch is pushed out.

Will you also look at why some of us are missing artist and ablum artwork on synced content?

You also need to look at ā€˜error on this item’ which keeps popping up when syncing a large number of albums. Seems to happen when the device is on battery and screen is off…I have a feeling they’re all interrelated!

Same issue with playback stopping.

I only mention them as they seem to be ā€˜related’ to sync and Plex has still to acknowledge the other threads.

If you’re going to do a job, you should do it right first time and fix all the outstanding sync issues.

If this gets actually fixed, I’d be happy to renew my Plex Pass…

New Moto G Plus 7.0 Nougat. Yep, this happens. Hoping for a fix soon as I am looking to make a car client with all my content synced offline. Perhaps I should avoid the Android client.
