I import ALL of my music playlists from Music.app on MacOS and recently had some issues with my Music.app library where some files were accidentally removed from the library (not deleted from the drive). This has resulted in those files no longer appearing in my Music.app playlists. I want to restore the playlists by exporting them from Plex using Tautulli, but I noticed that not all of my playlists were being exported.
It was then that I noticed that Plex is showing me two different playlist counts depending on where I try to access them using PlexWeb.
If I access my playlists from the Music tab, I see the complete list:
If I use the Playlist tab, I only see a little more than half of the playlists, and these are the only ones that Tautulli sees when I try to export:
A forum search turned up this similar thread from 2023 that went unanswered. Plexamp shows all of my playlists.
Many, if not all (i haven’t fully investigated), of the ‘missing’ playlists are in folders in Music.app.
