I have created several “dynamic” playlists for my music, and observed that when using “shuffle”, the player seems to ignore some of the filter settings. This happens on both the web-player and in Plex Amp on iOS.
An example of a playlist could be (Getting tracks rated higher than 3, with the least number of plays):
- Track rating is greater than 3
- Order descending by plays
- Limit to 100 tracks
This correctly lists the 100 wanted tracks, however if I click on “Shuffle”, Plexamp starts playing random numbers rated higher than 3 stars, and does not simple shuffle the 100 selected tracks.
This happens both when I click on the shuffle button in top of the playlist and if I use the “add to queue” option, and then click on shuffle in the player.
When using “add to queue”. The queue lists the correct 100 tracks, however as soon as shuffle is selected, then queue is refreshed with a new list of songs.
