Music Setup question!

Hey guys,

I’ve recently migrated from an old Mac Mini to a QNAP 453-Pro and an AppleTV and have a question relating to music playback.

I’ve been using the old Mac Mini to serve iTunes to a receiver but it’s just recently died - won’t power on at all :frowning:

The Plex music library feature is great but I’m wondering how I can setup my system so that I don’t have to have the TV on to play music. At the moment I have to.

Thanks for your help!

Help please?

Anyone?

Here are two options as I see it -

You can either run a media player that supports a plex client - Roku, Amazon FireTV, Android etc… and play the music that way, or you can enable the DLNA server in plex and play back with any media player that supports DLNA.

Maybe have a look at chromecast audio, it should work with Plex.

Awesome! Thank you!
