For some reason, plex won’t save the track progress for my audiobooks. The box to save progress is checked, but it doesn’t do anything. I’m not sure if it’s supposed to act like a tv show, showing that has been listened to or only save the one track, either way nothing is saved at all.
I saw a while ago some people were having this same issue.
Is this still an issue today, or is there some secret to make this function work properly?

I have an Android phone and it is unable to track progress of audio. This was also an issue a year ago and i am amazed that this has not been fixed yet!
I think that the Android app devs view it as a minor bug of just don’t prioritize it. But this is the reason i don’t use Plex for audio at all, which really is a shame really, if you ask me!
It works if i use the web player, so i don’t think it has anything to do with the server side application, but rather the android App.
I hope they get this fixed, as i would love to use Plex for audio purposes as well 
Yep me too, pretty big issue for me.
Still doesn’t work on my Android phone as well. I seem to recall it working on the web player though. This would be really great for audio books as I tend to bounce back and forth between listening to them on my phone and my computer.

Ditto. seems to be broken. I just started moving my audio book collection to plex. Standard M4A - MPEG AAC. I have other MPEG4 audio files and they pick up the last location. Just not on audiobooks that appear to be longer.
