Please change the way that Plex reads its tags.
I use MP3’s primarily (don’t shoot me for that) and i use MP3Tag to ensure all is correct in the tags.
In MP3Tag, there is an Artist and Album Artist tag. Plex always seems to use the Album Artist tag (as does Kodi).
I’d like to see Plex change so it uses both tags. When listing by Album, use the Album Artist and by Artist use the Artist tag. That way the artists individual work is separated out accordingly from the album (especially if compilation). and the albums are grouped as they should be (it could of course just use the album name, instead of the combination of album name/artist)
It should also use a folder.jpg (or cover.jpg) for Album Artwork, but again, if compilation, use any embedded artwork for Singles and playback.
