I am trying to incorporate music videos within my music library. I’ve tried both the inline method and the global folder methods outlined in the Plex support article. The videos are available in my Plex music library, but playback doesn’t seem to be very straight forward.
With both methods, the video is displayed on the artist’s page below the albums in the Extras section. With the inline method, there is a small video icon next to the song title in the album’s track listings. This icon, however, is not clickable, so there doesn’t seem to be an option to play the video when I’m looking at the album page. If I click the play button, I can tell that the audio is playing from the mp3 track instead of the music video because the mp3 is normalized to a louder volume level than the music video.
I have found that after selecting the track to play in the Android mobile app, I can open the menu and find a “Music Video” link to play the video, but no such option appears to exist in the web player or the Plex player for Windows.
