I’m finding it hard to clean up the music library, upon following the plex-support-music-videos I had it working as a Global Folder for my Videos and Music’s but before opting to go for a Global Folder method I had tried the Inline Method and that worked too, but now after the after change i see duplicate videos in my “extra” category of music library
Refresh Metadata should do the trick (same as with other local extras)… just make sure the video aren’t stored in both places as that could indeed give you duplicates.
I tried the refresh metadata option as well still no luck and also there are no duplicate videos in my inline music folder, checked that too all are stirred in a single global folder. And plus I’m also not seeing the tv icon next to the same song for which I have stored the music video for.
If you are using the global folder method, you won’t see the icon. The videos will only show under the Artsit page as an extra or video. I’m pretty sure it’s designed that way. I didn’t want the icon so I decided on the global folder method.
I would re-scan the music library, and then empty trash, clean bundles, etc. You probably need to do the complete Plex Dance, not just selected steps, to remove the duplicates.
I tried the Plex dance twice, but didn’t work. Still getting duplicates. If you have cleared a music video library, can you share the naming schema for the same, cause the one given in Plex support page doesn’t seems to work, cause it is giving it duplicates in extras
