My hdd containing server and install files went down - now i cant reinstall - help please

Hi all,

like the above says my dedicated hard drive for server and install files died and i would like to create a new server on a dedicated hard drive. However once i install the Plex server nothing happens and i get no system tray icon. have also tried installing on my c: drive but still no luck. There is however a Plex media server exe in the process list in task manager. All was working very well before the HDD went down. Running Windows 7.

any ideas from anyone? happy to provide more info if i need to?

Do you have your log files? This may be the same issue as this where as soon as the scanner starts, it kills itself and won’t stay open. If that’s the case, you’re in the boat with the rest of us…
