I have the lifetime plex pass purchased in 2021. I can download shows from my server just fine at home but when I am abroad every download gets an error. So I cannot download anything when remote. My kids are having the same issue when trying to download from my server and they all have download enabled. Any Thoughts?
Do you have the DEBUG server logs which capture the failed download attempts ?
(recreation possible then capture?)

The best logs to provide are those you get from Settings - Server - Troubleshooting - Download Logs (attach the ZIP file)
Here are the log files. The path was Manage > Troubleshooting.
By any chance have you your downloads set to Wi-Fi Only ?
Plex Client / Avatar / Settings / Downloads / Wi - Fi Only disabled
or
Plex Client / Avatar / Downloads / Settings / Wi- Fi Only
It is the Default for Clients
Yes it was set to Wi-Fi Only. But unchecking it does not change the behavior. It still does not download any files.
Restart your phone now and retry
So it works on my phone but not on my iPad. My iPad was using the phones network. Here are the latest logs. I kill and restart plex on the iPad.
So you were using your phone as a hotspot, Correct?
That is correct.
You must have Wifi on in Connections on your phone and Download settings on iPad try toggling ( Wi-Fi on and off). Once again you may need to restart your iPad.
Which model iPad may I ask with it’s current OS version?
