My Nvidia shield server is showing as not accessable. I’ve run it on another network. Even created a new server on a new shield. Nothing works.
Any Ideas?
I’ve got a similar situation. I took my shield with me on vacation for a week so it was not on any network and after arriving home and plugging the ethernet cable back in, the PMS on my NVidia Shield is gone.
Based on a recent (July 16th) post I have (had) Server Version#: 4.60.3. However, when I look at it from the Play Store app on the shield it shows 'Current version: 1.24.5.5173(smb) updated Oct 25, 2021.
@BigWheel , I usually have to massage the shield and refresh the Plex web page many times over a couple of days for it to reappear but it has been 5 days and still not visible.
- When I look at the Plex settings on the shield it doesn’t show any server available and there doesn’t appear to be much to help when you’ve had a functioning server and then it just went away.
Quick update.
I uninstalled updates and then updated the server and the next time I opened the app (player) it told me that I had a new server available and it took me through a pretty painless setup.
Remembering how painful it was to setup years ago, I did not choose that path lightly. However it looks like Plex has done quite a lot of work on improving setup. The only ‘problem’ now is to go back and setup the shows I want to record instead of just plugging in my WinTV-dualHD tuner after vacation. C’est la vie.
