My Plex Media PLayer won't play my downloads on Windows 11 22H2

I’m getting no error, no spinning, no indication the player is trying to play anything at all. I take my laptop offline and try to play a movie from my downloads, and nothing happens. I have an active plex pass subscription.

Is that only happening if your notebook is completely offline?

Given this is a Plex Pass feature, Plex might require some authentication. Usually the clients should be able to „remember“ they were authenticated these days…

I have the exact same problem. Cannot play downloaded content when offline. Have plex pass and also running windows 11 22H2, same player version as well. When I get online content plays fine. I’ve disconnected while playing content and it stops playing after about 10 seconds.

Yes, when I’m completely offline (which is the point of downloading the content).

Same here. Yesterday was working great, then it automatically updated - like it does every other day, please reduce the number of updates this is mental - and now it’s broken.

Still nothing? I’m having the same issue, only when connected i can watch downloaded content. I have life pass… same os as mentioned earlier.

Same issue. Extremely annoying to find this out while on the airplane.

Same for me too. :frowning: I can play my downloaded show with the windows player, just not with Plex.

when I click on Downloads Library in the left pane of the Plex Desktop Player, it just tells me “There was an unexpected error” and directs me to the forums. No error code, no summary, nothing.

Downloads seemed to work prior to significantly increasing the downloads. I currently have 610GB (in the C:\Users___\AppData\Local\Plex\Plex Media Server\Sync folder).

I’m not sure the best way to delete the downloads to see what size causes the problem.
