My Synology NAS started saying that I needed to disable my Admin account and start another. I did that. I have a new admin account.
The problem that I am having now is that when I add new movies or TV shows, and then scan the library, it does not find the new shows. What am I missing? Thanks.
Thanks for your great reply. Sorry to say, that did not fix the issue. No new shows come up in the scan of the library yet. All the permission boxes are checked like they should be. I don’t know what I’m missing.

I have my media in the Library folder. Is that not right? I don’t have anything outside of the library folder.
I just read it. I had not seen that before.
I watched multiple videos showing how to setup Plex, and ALL of them showed that you put your videos in the Library of Plex.
Flipping idiots need to take it down. I guess I’m an idiot for watching and doing what they said.
So, where do you suggest I put them? Is there any special place?
Can I make a folder and call it Plex Media just for myself?

Do I need to do anything with group permissions? Or the advanced permissions?
Okay. I had my music and photos in another folder already, so it should be okay to leave them in those folders, right? They are NOT in the PLEX LIBRARY FOLDER.
They are folders I created. They are actually folders that I use to backup my pictures and music from my computer.
Oh, do I need to create a folder or can I just say move the folder that is already in place to the new media folder? Sorry for the questions.
Okay, so just copy the contents and move to the folders I create. Got it.
Yeah, one is named F-Music-Pictures so it does not look like photo, music etc.
What is the best way to copy the whole Movies folder over to the new movies folder? I can’t seem to highlight all of them and cut and paste???
Thanks for your help. I have had Plex for almost a year now. I have never had any problem having the shows in the Library. Why do these people have all these videos showing that you put Plex in the Library?? That is so crazy. I have my videos and things moved over to the new folders. I will go into Plex shortly and give them the new path. I hope this solves the problem of the new shows not showing up.
