I am unable to connect to my Windows 10 Remote server with above server version on my Samsung TV. I can play from the remote server via iOS and Android and cast to the TV, but not use the APP on the TV directly.
To all fairness, the media server and TV are on two different networks, but if i put them on the same wifi network they can suddenly find eachother and work, however this badly limits the bandwith and are not ideal.
Could anybody point me in the right direction in order to watch Plex on my TV, even though the Media Server and TV are on two different networks?
Hi FordGuy61!
Thanks a lot for the reply - and yes of course i can.
My Computer with the plex server does both handle LAN and WIFI - whereas the TV only handles WIFI. So to ensure connection to PLEX, i can put the computer on WIFI, but this does not have a stable connection.
The TV and plex are on same location but on different local networks - Plex using the lan from local provider and the TV using my own wifi network.
Hope this helps - let me know if you need further details
How do you create your own wifi network? Did you add a wifi router to the local provider LAN, does it come from a different provider, etc?
Also, are you using any sort of shared tenant service? For example, in some apartment buildings, Internet service is via one provider. Tenants do not have access to the router, cannot get service from another provider, etc.
I’m trying to figure out what parts you have, including modems, routers, etc, and how they are connected.
