My server stopped responding

Server Version#: 1.41.2.9200
Player Version#: 1.104.0.241

I run a headless Mac mini as a server, and all of a sudden it stopped responding. I can access the computer and all of my library data, but I can’t load anything on Plex. It says my library isn’t reachable. I’ve restarted the machine, uninstalled and reinstalled Plex Media Server, done a power cycle on the router and the computer. None of that has helped. I barely know what I’m doing, so please explain like I’m five.

Lets start with a copy of your server logs

I hope I’m not uploading anything sensitive in there.

Took about 2 seconds in the logs to find your first major issue:
Nov 23, 2024 00:24:06.369 [0x7000081d3000] ERROR - SQLITE3:(nil), 11, database corruption at line 73224 of [a29f994989]

Github scares me. When I download things that arent just straightforward executable files, I feel like a gorilla at a grand piano. Checking it out now. Thank you so much for the quick reply.

Yep. Totally lost on Github. My server is on a Mac, so I always feel like I walked into the wrong room when I’m on that site. Any elementary-school-level help would be much appreciated. I take direction well…I think

download and extract DBRepair.sh open up the terminal and go to the directory where the sh file is then: bash DBRepair.sh then select options, 1,2,5,6,7

Damn. I received a bunch of lines of errors, and after restarting, my library is still unavailable.

without a copy of the output I cant advise more on repairing. You can delete the library database files as a last resort, you will have to start plex over from scratch.

How can I obtain a copy of the output? Does that contain any info I shouldn’t share?

Easiest would be a screenshot after you ran the command that provided errors

I’ll try to do that tonight. Thanks for the help and patience so far.

Sorry if this is terrible. Please let me know if you need me to do it again in a more organized fashion

Sounds like that database is too damaged to repair My next step would be: https://support.plex.tv/articles/202485658-restore-a-database-backed-up-via-scheduled-tasks/

Try the Replace option.

It does the same steps as the article @dbirch linked, but first checks the backup databases for corruption.

If all the backups are corrupt, then try Ignore, Repair, Reindex.
