I’m having problems with configuring Plex on my MyCloudHome.
On my Cloud Home website I have chosen “Plex” but when I press “configure” the link doesn’t work.
So the link to configure and link my Plex account to my MyCloudHome account doesn’t work.
I have contacted Western Digital and they say that the problem is yours.
The MyCloud home is a pretty locked-up environment. Plex depends on WD to distribute their packages on that platform. That’s why your server is probably still on a version from January 2020 (v1.18.5).
From what I’ve seen, Plex is working with WD to get newer versions of the server on their platforms – no ETA / status as for if/when that’ll happen.
Yea, it’s not that great but it’s for my girlfriends parents so thought it would be easy.

I will have to keep my hope up for some weeks before we invest in some other NAS.
