MyCloudEX2Ultra remote access doesn't work, works only in local with http

Plex server only available on local network, enabling remote access in settings doesn’t work.

Did you already take a look at the remote access troubleshooting support article?

Some questions:

  • Is this about a new setup (where it has never been enabled before) or did it use to work and is now broken?
  • Have you configured your Plex Media Server to use some automatic configuration or did you specify a manual port forward
  • Can you access your router using the specified port from outside your home network (32400 if you’re using an automatic configuration)? – you can check this e.g. using a service like canyouseeme.org

Yes, I read it but found nothing to solve my problem.

It was working fine previously, but since 3 or 4 updates it doesn’t work anymore.

As it wasn’t working anymore I set up my rooter to have a specific port to rederect to 32400 of the server.

I tried to restart it 2 times as somebody asked me to do there: Secure connection not working after last update

so… is your router’s public IP address and the specified public port accessible from outside your home network?

I think actually troubles have started when I changed my Web Box. Everything was automatic with the previous one, I’ve never had to touch anything on the router side with my previous box. Anyway I check the port with your tool and there was a problem, so I tried to open a new port with same redirection. It was successful with your tool and now it seems like it starts working again finally after changing for this new port in Plex settings. Thanks for your support.

It was strange because anytime I was retrying the connection it was working only for a few seconds then it was turning off. I haven’t though that could be the issue. So far it’s working now, hope it will stay like this. :slightly_smiling_face:
