Naming convention for "The World at War"

Server Version#: 4.43.4

I have 20TB+ of MKV movies, TV shows, and documentaries and have never had an issue with naming conventions and metadata matching until now! “The World at War” is a 5 volume 35 episode documentary series. My Library Type is set to TV Shows. I set each volume as a separate season and each show as an episode, so I have Seasons 1-5 folders, and each episode in each folder labelled “The World at War-s0#e0#”. Volume/Season 1 works perfectly and matches all episode names properly. Seasons 2-5 do not match and I would prefer not editing 26 episodes manually. TVDB.com has all of the episodes listed. I would appreciate any help!

There are no volumes or season numbers greater 1 listed at TheTVDB. Only 26 episodes in season 1 and 15 Specials.

Good point! Not sure where I got the 35 episode list. So I renamed all of the episodes to S01e# getting me through s01e25. s01e01 through s01e08 match and label properly, but no matches after that.

Are these mp4 files?
You may have to change your agent configuration then:
Go to

  • Settings - Server - Agents - Shows - TheTVDB

In there, grab the line ‘Local Media Assets’ with your mouse and drag it downwards, so it ends up being at the bottom of the stack of active agents.
Repeat the same under

  • Settings - Server - Agents - Shows - TheMovieDatabase
  • Settings - Server - Agents - Movies - Plex Movie
  • Settings - Server - Agents - Movies - TheMovieDatabase

Refresh Metadata afterwards.

Also worth a try: the Plex Dance

That did it! Many thanks! Interesting that I have never run into that problem before.
