Naming episodes for some legacy TV

Server Version#: 1.15.2.793
Player Version#: 3.91

This is a biazarr one, the early DR who that stated in the 1960s se01e01 does not work with this series as S01E01 may have 4-8 physical episodes that make up that way that they are named now is there a way of doing this ie S01E01a S01E01b ect or is there some code that could be added to plex to allow manual naming ???

the original series S01E01 = part 1 the unearthly child
part 2 cave of skulls
part 3 forest of fear
part 4 firemaker

What exactly is the issue?
Do you have a file with several episodes in it or something else?

the first for listed are all part of episode 1, Dr Who breaks naming conventions as the first for episode as explaned are all part of the unearlthy child

You can do this by putting .part1, .part2 in the filenames.

Example:

Doctor Who S01E01.part1.avi

thanks

No, it does not if you name your files as they are listed at TheTVDB.
As you can see there, episodes 1 through 4 are all part of the first ā€œmeta-episodeā€.
You just use s01e01 through s01e04 for your 4 files and all should fall into place.

There is no need for the -part 1 method.
