I have a large movie and tv Collection which are named correctly but seem to be having trouble with back to the future two and three they do not show up on The library they are named like my other 600+ movies. title (year) they are in my movies folder and just back to the future shows up and I would like them to show up as separate movies
How are your files named? I am reasonably confident that the incorrect matching came from incorrect naming. Please share the actual directory structure and file names.
Have they all matched as Back to the Future, and they’re now stacked as versions of the same movie?
If so, choose “Split Apart”, and then you can “Fix Match” on the others.
They are named back to the future (year)
Back to the future 2 (year)
Back to the future 3(year)
Not sure what you mean by split when you click on back to the future it just shows the first movie and the run time for that movie Do not see a split option
2 and 3 should actually be named as
Back to the Future Part II (1989)
and
Back to the Future Part III (1990)
They work fine for me this way.
Edit - Oops, forgot the years.
Can you please share what your files and directories are actually named? A screenshot would be helpful.
The movie names are Back to the Future Part II and Back to the Future Part III, and should be named as such:
Back to the Future Part II (1989).ext
Back to the Future Part III (1990).ext
I tested files named “Back to the Future 2 (1989).mp4” and “Back to the Future 3 (1990).mp4”. They were matched incorrectly, as “The Making of Back to the Future 2” and “…3”.
If they were all matching as “Back to the Future”, then you would see an indicator that the movie had multiple versions, and you would see a “Split Apart” option. I don’t think that’s actually what’s happening, guessing that they are being matched to other movies instead.
Tell me that was on purpose?
If it was on purpose, I would have gone back twice.
I’ll give that a try thank you very much
