I have a show that I’m trying to name. On TheTvDB its sorted like so:
S01E01 - Episode 1 - Episode 2
S01E02 - Episode 3 - Episode 4
However, the files I have are like so:
S01E01A - Episode 1
S01E01B - Episode 2
S01E02A - Episode 3
S01E02B - Episode 4
I’m trying to figure out how I can name these episodes so that When I select Episode 1, it will play both the S01E01 - Episode 1.avi and S01E01 - Episode 2.avi files.
Any ideas?

Have you tried renaming them as in accordance to this help article? https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/200265006-Naming-Stacked-TV-Show-Episodes
I saw that, but I was hoping to include the episode name in there as well.
Do you think this would work also:
S01E01 - Episode 1 - pt1.avi
S01E01 - Episode 2 - pt2.avi
Given that they have different names in between?
Tbh (and one should be) I’m not entirely sure - but what I do know is that Plex is very forgiving. I checked my own library for any pt1 and pt2 files and they weren’t 100% correctly named (embarrassingly enough) but Plex made it work anyway so yours should do even better
Thanks for the tip Peter_W, I named my files accordingly and Plex does seem to pick them up correctly, though I have one last question.
What should I expect when playing these files?
If I select Episode 1 on Plex, will it play the files back to back? Can I seek between both files?

This is going to largely depend on your client. If your client supports stacked items it will play back to back with no break, if it does not support them it will only play the first part. If your client doesn’t support it would be better to look for a way to merge these to match with the agent.

So, the odd thing is, it’s only playing Part 2.
Surely Plex for Web supports stacked files :s
