Problem with how Plex loads TV shows

sorry in advance if I placed this post in the wrong part of the form. I don’t know where this problem should be posted or if it can be fixed.

Folder path: Library\TV Shows\The Shows Name\S01, S02 and so on
File Naming: The Shows Name S01E01E02, The Shows Name S01E03E04 and so on.

I have a TV Show that I added to Plex. Plex added it to menu fine, you can see the show and under it you can see the seasons. when you go into a season you see all the episodes all named correctly. The problem is that Episode 1 and 2 are one file but Plex show 1 and 2 as an option in the menu. Then you play episode 1 it will play both episodes (fine) but if you play 2 it start from the beginning of the file a plays 1 and 2 again.

is there a way to change where 2 start from in the file? if not is there a way to merge 1 and 2 together?

That’s how multi-episode files are currently designed to work.
There’s a number of feature suggestions on how to improve this. Mainly suggestions to reflect such multi-episode files with a single library item (e.g. titled “Episode Name 1 & Episode Name 2”) or to guess / indicate where in the file each episode ends/starts and how to reflect this in the UI / playback (e.g. 1, 2, 3).
