Need a scanner that will only use the file name (no metadata)

Hello Plexers,

I've created a section for some online videos:

Scanner: Plex Media File Scanner

Agent: Personal Media

My lovely wife has named the files properly and I was hoping that the scanner will simply use the file names as the video title. But unfortunately, the files already have a title in the meta data which just consists of some useless numbers. So Plex is displaying those instead.

My wife is simply adding new online videos to that section (folder) and she won't be able to use Plex/Web to update the mata data. So I'm hoping for a way or a scanner that is only using the file name and nothing else.

I've looked through the forum but haven't found anything. Any ideas anyone?

Thanks.

I believe this is how the media file scanner/personal media agent is supposed to work.  Is it possible that whatever software you're using to rip the files is embedding these "useless numbers" in the media files themselves?

Thanks for offering your help!

Those are flash videos downloaded from a website. I guess they added the metatag "Title" to the files. The media file scanner/personal media agent is using that metatag instead of the file name. I'm missing the option to simply turn off the "Personal Media Agent" so it just displays the filename. Is there any way to achieve that?
