I am trying to setup my DVR on my Unraid Plex Server.
I know that Plex changed how EPG data is managed over the summer, and I’ve had trouble ever since.
I live in the United States and am trying to setup my channels on some cable TV clear QAM. My zipcode is 63401 and am trying to setup for Charter Spectrum Digital Cable.
I have two HD Homeruns; one is a Connect Duo, and the other is a Connect Quatro.
When Plex sees the channels on the tuner boxes, it is only seeing the Guide numbers (5000-5128), and it is not assigning those numbers to the actual channel stations. I set the guide numbers to the correct channels manually for both tuners (and I have been), but sometimes the channels get updated and mess up my DVR recordings. When this happens, i have go manually go through each channel, verify its station, update my list, etc.
Ideally, I need Plex to automatically map the Guide Numbers with the Station Numbers, but I am unable to get it to do this; Plex does just assigns them as unknown channels.
I do not know if Plex is unable to support this functionality for my particular channel needs. If it is not, then I would greatly appreciate assistance setting up a tv xml config for the channels.
