Will DVR support for ClearQAM channels be added?

If I add an antenna to my QuadHD then I get 18 stations. If I connect the cable from my cable provider into the HD HomeRun WITHOUT Plex, the HDHR finds about 80 channels using just the ClearQAM signal from the cable provider. However, if I connect my HD Home Run up to plex with the cable from my cable provider then it finds the 80 channels but it gives them bizarre names like Stream 169, section 10 or some other junk like that. Somehow it’s finding the streams but it doesn’t know how to map them to the real station ID’s (e.g. 4-1 for CBS in my area).

Any clue how to make this work? If I can get use the unencrypted ClearQAM signals then I can get fantastic HD channel reception without even having to mount an antenna. On a side note, if I plug the cable line into my TV’s that have tuners then they all find the channels with the right station ID’s.

Your issue has nothing to do with CLEARQAM. It is about guide data and matching. When you setup your Plex DVR and connected it to the Hd homerun did you select cable and then the correct channel lineup. That is the problem

The cable company is likely using different channel numbers then what it is over the air.

Setup you Hd homerun again and use cable and then validate the lineup during setup.

Same thing here. Really the only way to fix it is to spend the time manually assigning channels. I can’t remember why, but I actually set mine up with a different tv provider than I really use. Easiest way for me was to use the hd homerun app and flip through channels and see what they are. Took about an hour or 2, but it’s been great since then.
