Hey all! I’ve been doing some Googling and it seems this has been an issue for years! I don’t get it, it seems like one of the most basic and necessary features you could have on a music player.
I’ve only been using Plex for around a month and it’s AMAZING! I love it, I can’t believe I haven’t been using it for years already. I love that it can do all of my music as well, but nearly all of my albums are being ruined by the lack of gapless playback; being taken out of the immersive album experience makes me super depressed :’( :’( :’( :’(
Both Play Music and Spotify play perfect with 100% gapless playback on my Chromecast, my PC, my phone, my laptop, my partners Pixelbook, my partner’s phone, my mate’s Mac Pro - absolutely everything supports it except for Plex!!!
Don’t get me wrong, I really do love Plex and I have even been considering purchasing a lifetime pass, but I can’t commit to something like that with the knowledge that such a simple and important feature is missing. There is only one other thing preventing the purchase and that is not being able to skip forward/backwards 3/5/10/30/60 etc. seconds (best option would be to choose the duration) with the arrow keys (or, really, any keys - maybe we could choose our hotkeys?).
These two simple features, gapless playback and skipping 5 seconds backwards/forwards with left/right arrow keys.
Cheers for reading everyone, <3 o:)
