I’ve tried 2 different SD cards, ApplePi baker and terminal on OSX, and Win32DiskImager on windows. Boots to rainbow screen every time. Rasplex works like a charm - what am I doing wrong?
I’ve searched everywhere and cannot figure this out. Reflashed the same card with Raspbian, and it spins right up.
Additional steps taken - I’ve tried the various PI3 troubleshooting steps as the issues seemed to be the same (install Raspbian on clean SD, boot to raspbian to update firmware, reflash with PMP-E). I’ve tried every single build or nightly that I could find in the forums from people that have successfully made this work. I’ve tried Etcher, Win32DiskImager, and multiple cards which all have been verified to work with other OSes like Raspbian lite, Raspbian, Noobs, Rasplex. I’ve tried different power sources. I’m utterly confused??
Raspberry Pi 2 B+
Edimax Wireless USB (have also tried booting with ethernet)
USB Mouse + Keyboard
Standard power supply
HiFiBerry DAC+ - same issue whether DAC is installed or not
I once created a NOOBS package for Plex Media Player. Maybe you can give that a try?
