I am new to Plex and I recently connected my P.C to my Denon Amplifier to be able to watch Movies With Surround Sound everything works normally through Microsoft windows 11 and I receive full surround as the amplifier shows Dts-hd is running. The issue i am having now is when I run plex on the pc from Chrome it will not run any form of surround and would like to know what i can do to turn on surround oh the connection i am using is Toslink from my pc
The Web app is not surround sound friendly.
so maybe it is possible that surround will simply not work on the pc? with this particular app
If you are using a computer and need more robust codec support either user our Mac or Windows app desktop available on our downloads page or HTPC app avaiable on the forum.
Get HTPC here Introducing Plex HTPC! Has a TV style interface designed for remotes
Get Mac or Window desktop app here Media Server Downloads | Plex Media Server for Windows, Mac, Linux, FreeBSD and More This has the same basic interface as web brower app -
Don’t use the web app. Use Plex for Windows or Plex HTPC. I will provide links in a follow up post.
