Need to dance for ALL new media

I’m running PMS on a NAS with OMV. I’m not using Docker. My issue is that PMS does not add any new content to the library during scans, be they automatic or manual. If I do the Plex Dance, PMS will add the new media just fine, but without the dance, no joy.

When the new content does get added, after the dance, the media gets recognized and scanned properly, i.e. there are no issues with PMS correctly recognizing the movie/show and displaying the correct art, descriptions, etc.

I don’t think this is a file naming issue, as again, once I do the dance, everything is added correctly. I don’t see how it could be a permissions issue for the same reason.

This is an example from the log:

Apr 25, 2024 12:51:23.816 [547619422432] DEBUG - Skipping over directory 'X-Men ‘97/Season 1’, as nothing has changed; removing 6 media items from map.

There are, actually, two new episodes in that folder. It’s also not just that show; it’s every and any show, and regardless of the time of day.

When I transferred all the old media over to the new NAS and scanned, everything went fine. The issue here seems to be stuff that comes from sonarr/sabnzbd.

Do you set permissions?

I have not set permissions in Sonarr like in your image. The box is unchecked in my setup.

If you set it, Sonarr will set permissions for all new media
For now, you’ll need to add 755 for directories and 644 for files.
